Organic Photography Mooz Event
It is exchange of points of view and emotions which is developed through photographic exhibitions (COURTYARD FOR 6), a picture competition (JUST LANDED) and 5 meetings with the public. These moments are conceived as shooting events entitled ORGANIC PHOTOGRAPHY by UGO MARINELLI.

The world becomes ‘digital’ and photography is not an exception. However, In the beginning photography was a natural process based on the use of organic substances able to catch the light. A process in which cameras were simple wooden boxes with a hole. In spite of continuous progress, of which we are witnesses in our digital era, going back to the original photographic technique is still fascinating and at times moving.

ORGANIC PHOTOGRAPHY is an open invitation to have a portrait made on a sea scallop and other kinds of food using a completely natural method, instead of a normal camera, to reach the final print. The entire process will occur in front of us and within a few minutes we will see an organic portrait appear on a shell.

This variation of the ‘pinhole’ technique was fine-tuned by Ugo Marinelli who tested different natural boxes which could be used as darkrooms: lemons, coconuts, oranges… In the courtyard of MOOZ (via Dante 12 – Milan) Ugo Marinelli will allow us to discover the secrets of the first photographic techniques. Furthermore, he will make an organic portrait to take away for those who want one. We wish to thank the collaborators Marco Palmioli and Beppe Bolchi.

ORGANIC PHOTOGRAPHY
